i forgot.

I called Dave at work on Friday and asked if I could come in for an ultrasound. He said come on down. Apparently, he didn't tell the people at work that i was pregnant. You should have seen the tech's face when the picture first came up on the screen, it was priceless. She looked over at dave really fast with a look of shock and panic, like perhaps we didn't already know. Dave is funny like that.

When I saw that little 10 week old fetus, it was the first time that this whole thing seemed real. I forgot what an absolute miracle this whole process is. You could see it's little profile, strong heartbeat (161-does that mean it's a boy?), and little arms and legs moving. I can't believe that is inside of me. So weird, but very cool.

I am still nervous that something will happen, but it was comforting to know that at least right now all is right. Which was a good, because I had a tough weekend. I really am done feeling sick.

I would be in Oregon right now for a photography workshop done by Kevin Kubota. I was supposed to fly out yesterday, and be there all week. I had to cancel for obvious reasons. Kind of sad. I was looking forward to it. oh well, i saved money.

Have a great Monday!
oh, and the picture above isn't of my baby, but you know, it looked just like that.

aww, I was going to tell you how cute I think your baby already is! Oh well, someone else's baby is adorable then...

I can't wait to see beautiful photographs of your new little one (you know when he or she is born).

Sorry you had a rough weekend though :(

I can totally see the look of the tech's face in my mind.
We told our kids about Daniel by having Tandy do ultrasounds of all their bellies and then of mine. The look on Ailee's face when she saw that it was a baby was just priceless.
Get feeling better soon.

heartbeat at 161 means it's a girl! You do cute girls, but I mean c'mon! Get Jacob a brother!

Oh the perks of having a radiologist husband! Hope the yuckiness doesn't last much longer (and here's hoping for a boy!)

How fun! A good reminder that all the nausea is for a good cause.

Well I had heart rate readings in the 160's all the way through and Caden is all boy!

Sorry I didn't make it over Friday night. My entire family had the belly plague so I thought it better to stay as far away as possible because getting you sick would have been horrible.

I'm so sorry you are not feeling well. Please let me know (or have one of the kids call) if you need anything at all. I'm totally there with anything you need =)

Maybe there was something weird in the punch at my wedding?

Hope you start feeling better!

I didn't know you were pregnany heather! CONGRATS!! That is so exciting. So, I also stopped by your blog because I have a question. I want to get a good photography camera....but nothing too crazy. I want to be able to switch out a few different lenses to try some fun stuff. Any suggestions on what would be good for an ammateur wanting to start learning more? sarapowell21@hotmail.com if you have time! :)
