What a Find!!

This is my baby book. here's a sneak peak from inside. Do you think i look like my mom or my dad? Don't you love my mom's handwriting?I know you want to see this picture up closer. It makes me laugh out loud! No one can say that my kids don't look like me. This looks so much like ammon that i love it! My eyes are even bigger and rounder than his though. ha. My mom wrote in my baby book, "so alert, one nurse at the hospital called you nosey because you tried to see what was going on. We love you so much." Well, i guess i can't complain about my kids being so nosey. I know where they got it from. smile.

This is one of the coolest things in my baby book. There is a page where you can list the current prophet, apostles, and other leaders of the lds church. Listed under the assistants to the twelve apostles is Dave's relative. It's his grandfather's brother. Dave's mom's maiden name is Cullimore. It is also Dave's and Jacob's middle name. When the man that married us in the temple saw Dave's name he asked if he was related. Dave replied yes. The sealer said that he had known James Cullimore and that he had set him apart as a bishop in the past. Isn't that neat that it is in my baby book.

I know you will get a kick out of this one too. My one year old picture. People always thought that I was a boy because i didn't have any hair. I passed that gene on unfortunately as well. ha. I was very happy though. My mom also wrote that my first sentence was, "I happy mommy." I am proud of that. I hope it will be my last sentence on this earth as well. That I am happy.
So here is the exciting part. Look at what i found at the thrift store (deseret industries) next to the humanitarian center in Utah.

My same baby book from the 70's in light blue. It is in pristine condition with absolutely nothing written in it. Just like new! Can you believe that? Kelly was laughing saying, "some old lady has been holding onto that all these years and finally gave it to the D.I." Too funny. This is the absolute perfect addition to Ammon's vintage room. I can't wait to fill it out. Since obviously, I don't already have a baby book. Hadn't even thought of getting one. That's what happens when it's your sixth. ha.

I know, I feel so badly that I haven't filled out a baby book for Axel! And he's only my third!!

I think I have a book like that too somewhere...

My baby book looks identical to yours! (Is it pink? Couldn't really tell from the picutre.) I haven't looked at it in years. And I was shocked to see how much your babies look like you! I had always thought they were more Dave (I guess because of the light hair.)

Those baby books are my favorite. Mine is the same one as yours and I looked and looked for them for my kids but they don't make them anymore. I guess I'll have to go to DI and check them out. =)
