Mom wanted to have some pictures to give to her hubby who is out of town for four months. I am thinking after seeing these pictures of her, he is going to book a ticket to fly out asap!

I think as women in general we don't realize how beautiful we are. God's most beautiful creation I think. what i am up to today

Editing this little cutie's photo shoot with her mom. I have this one and another shoot to do before two more this weekend. Can something you love so much really be considered a job?

I had a fabulous morning with a massage therapist. She was very good. She came highly recommended to me from Jenn and Petra. So if you are near Surprise, AZ, and need a massage here is her info. Sherri Franklin 623-535-3973. The name of her business is "Miracle Rehab Therapeutic massage". She is having a special right now that is really reasonable. 1 hr. for $50, and $25 each additional half hour. Of course, make sure you mention my name so I will get $10 off my next massage (for my next birthday).

I won't tell you where Sherri worked on me this morning. Let's just say I am in dire need of a donut. Not the kind you eat, the kind they give you when you have a baby. They didn't have one at Walmart and I am in pain. I slept all of 1 hour last night because of it. OK, well maybe because of the appetite suppressant I am taking as well. ha ha. My diet is a topic for another post. So please if you read this, and have one, can I borrow it?

I am excited to tell you about my experience at traffic school last night! I know, I know, you are on the edge of your seat, but it will have to wait. I only have 45 minutes until the kids will be demanding my every second. Never mind. I just got a call from Jacob to come and get the group from the high school. Off I go!

First Place : First Place Todd Heisler The Rocky Mountain News When 2nd Lt James Cathey's body arrived at the Reno Airport , Marines climbed into the cargo hold of the plane and draped the flag over his casket as passengers watched the family gather on the tarmac. During the arrival of another Marine's casket last year at Denver International Airport , Major Steve Beck described the scene as so powerful: 'See the people in the windows? They sat right there in the plane, watching those Marines. You gotta wonder what's going through their minds, knowing that they're on the plane that brought him home,' he said 'They will remember being on that plane for the rest of their lives. They're going to remember bringing that Marine home. And they should.'

Second Place Second Place Todd Heisler The Rocky Mountain News. The night before the burial of her husband's body, Katherine Cathey refused to leave the casket, asking to sleep next to his body for the last time. The Marines made a bed for her, tucking in the sheets below the flag. Before she fell asleep, she opened her laptop computer and played songs that reminded her of 'Cat,' and one of the Marines asked if she wanted them to continue standing watch as she slept. 'I think it would be kind of nice if you kept doing it,' she said. 'I think that's what he would have wanted.'

Best night ever!

Saturday night Dave, Jacob, Rachel and I went to the temple together. It seriously was one of those moments in parenthood that make every hard moment worth it. All four of us in the temple, dressed in white, sitting together all cozy, wrapped up in the spirit. smile. We all leaned in close and I whispered, (we whisper in the temple) "This is why I want us to always talk kindly, only have positive things playing on the TV, and good music in our home. So our home can feel like this!" They finally got it! How can I describe the feeling? It is like you are slathered up in love and happiness. You know all those happy good feelings you have at Disneyland? It is better than that! smile. It seriously is the happiest place on earth. As we walked out Dave said, "that was one of the best nights of my life." I totally agree. I think Jacob and Rachel did too since as we got in the car Jacob said, "So, are we going to do this once a month?"


And just for you Grant, we bought at the bookstore the John Bytheway collection, and listened to his talk "turn off the TV and get a life" on the way home. ha ha. I know you are so so jealous. Ok, maybe not of that, but definitely the bacon, guacamole cheeseburger that we ate at Islands. yum!

heartwarming story, heartwarming pictures

Jamie and Britton have been waiting for sweet little Braelyn for a long time. After five years of praying for her, she arrived in a very special way. She is the greatest gift that anyone can give another person. The gift of a child. Within a week of their turning in adoption papers they were contacted by a young woman who was looking for that perfect family for her baby. You can imagine the joy, surprise, excitement, when they learned that Braelyn would be born in only two short days. Things quickly fell into place, and Braelyn was in their arms within another week. I honestly have never seen two people so grateful for the sweet gift of a child. No words can describe it! They radiate pure joy, thanksgiving, and love. It is a beautiful sight to behold! Braelyn has a very special spirit about her. I could have held her all day. I think the pictures describe their joy better than any words I could write. What a miracle and beautiful gift adoption is!! One that Jamie and Britton will be forever grateful for.

I thought this picture so symbolic of the kind of love and care that Braelyn will have in her life. Surrounded on every side with loving helping hands.

Jamie has an amazing gift for singing and playing the guitar. She had this idea of taking pictures of her in her guitar case. I absolutely love them!

Britton served a mission for the LDS church in Russia. While there, a Russian woman knitted this scarf for him. It says their last name in Russian. How awesome is that?
